Sushi n Santa

A True Christmas Story

One Christmas Eve, (not so long ago), after attending a beautiful candle lit service, the Mrs. and I decided to stop for a bite at our favorite Japanese Restaurant.

The staff, attired in their festive holiday sweaters, scurried about attending to the many patrons, filling the air with holiday cheer.

At the sushi bar the Mrs. noticed a gentleman with white hair and beard and she unabashedly said: "Hi Santa, Merry Christmas!” to which he responded the same.

As I past he repeated the chorus to me and I replied in my typical way, "Happy Christmas Santa!"

No sooner had we ordered our drinks when the Jolly Old Elf appeared at my side and exclaimed...

"You are right... it is Happy Christmas! It's in the poem that way!" And in an instant he turned and in a flash he was gone.

That night at home just before bed; it was time for the traditional reading of ''Twas the Night Before Christmas" and when the Mrs. read the last line, it made sense what the old gent said...

"But I heard him exclaim ere he drove out of sight; Happy Christmas to All, and to All a Good Night.”

On behalf of the Mrs. (aka the Fire Goddess) and myself we would like to...

"Wish you and yours many blessings and as always a very HAPPY CHRISTMAS!"
